Baron Awning
The Baron retractable window awning is fully adjustable with the ability to be extended to any position. The awning can be extended fully in order to keep the interior temperatures cooler in the summer months. Additionally, this system can be retracted during the winter months to allow the natural heat from the sun to warm the interior of the home. When not in use, the awning is retracted into a tidy cassette, providing protection to the fabric and mechanical components. The Baron retractable window awning is made entirely of anodized aluminum and stainless steel components, ensuring longevity. This system is manufactured in widths up to 26’ with arm projections up to 48”.

Motorization & Controls
Retractable awning systems combine beauty with functionality. At the convenient touch of a button on a wall mounted switch or on a hand held remote control, one is able to shade and cool any deck, patio, window, terrace or balcony automatically. One single device can control an individual and / or a group of motorized systems from a central location. Control of your motorized awnings can also be achieved from any mobile device using Somfy’s MyLink wireless receiver and specialized app.
Sun and wind sensors allow your motorized systems to automatically react to changing weather conditions. The Sun Sensor reacts to different sun levels, extending your awning automatically to cool both outdoor and indoor spaces. The Wind Sensor automatically retracts your motorized awning when it senses high winds.

What material is used on this awning?

Do I need to roll up my window awning every day?
No. Retractable window awnings differ from deck and patio awnings. The support arms are mounted lower down at the sides of the window making these awnings stable in moderate winds and rain.

How do I clean my fabric?
Using a garden hose, spray the top of the fabric to remove dust and pollen. If required, mild detergents such as Dawn or Sunlight can be used to treat more stubborn spots. Rinse off all soap residue and let the fabric air dry before retracting the awning.
What is the biggest advantage of a retractable awning over a stationary one?
Retractable awnings provide more flexibility to the user. The awning can be extended part way to block mid-day sun or it can be extended fully to block the heat of the low lying evening sun. In the winter months, the awning can be retracted fully to allow the natural light and warmth to enter into the space.

Installation Process
Detailed Measuring
A site visit is performed by our lead sales technician. Following a conversation with the client, detailed measurements are taken as all our products are custom manufactured to our clients specifications. A quotation is provided, with frame and fabric samples available for review and selection right on site.
Area Preparation & Installation
Upon arrival, our technicians will discuss the installation process with you, ensuring you are comfortable with every step. The technicians will safely move any furniture from the main working area and will replace the furniture to it’s original location once installation is complete. The installation will last approximately 3-4 hours.

A thorough explanation of the awning system will follow, with an opportunity for any questions to be answered. Rest assured that a detailed information sheet, including contact information, will be left with you for future reference and ongoing customer support.
